Linda on our last evening in September on the beach at Lake Superior Provincial Park…the snow and ice are now here at Carleton Place and I thought catching up would be a good thing…this post will take us to September 22nd and in the next few days I’ll post more to hopefully get this blog current.

We stopped at Chutes Provincial Park on the return trip as well. It’s just a lovely park and conveniently located on our return home.

We tried to find somewhere new to camp on the way home..Arrowhead Provincial Park was on the way.

Once again a beautiful day to be out. The lake was calm and we were able to take the bicycles out for a ride as we arrived early enough.

It had rained and the park was a little damp. We managed to find a campsite that was not too full of mosquitoes and Linda was trying to get a nice photo of Puck who is exploring the new camp.

Of course we had to have a little hike after the bike ride and found this bridge to cross.

The Ontario version of The Wave…we found in Arrowhead Provincial park.

It was a pretty creek and Stubb’s Falls leading to the Big East River, I think.

We also decided to take a different way home and found a town called Killaloe, Ontario…this is where the famous Beavertail started. It was a great treat.

Arriving back at Carleton Place we were treated to some beautiful sky.

As the weather stayed good, we explored the new bicycle trail to the town of Almonte…you can see the fresh grading and we were glad that we had wider tires.

Linda seems to find these cool little snakes…we almost ran over it with the bicycles but stopped to take a photo.

Learning about a new area often requires a motorcycle trip!

Linda didn’t join me on this one, but was a very nice day to ride and check out one of the dams nearby.
